Outdoor Fall Decor

As promised, today I am sharing some of our outdoor decorations. I kept things pretty simple this year. These cornstalks with a couple of pumpkins are cheap and cheerful, scream FALL and can be left out all the way through Thanksgiving. The stalks are wired together and then actually wired to the light fixtures. The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby.

Seldom does anyone come to our front door. Everyone usually comes to our side door, so unless it is Christmas, the front of our house is kept super simple. You may be wondering why we don't have window boxes. We actually used to, but with the heat and the wind, the plants did not thrive. The flowers especially, grow much better in pots. It will be interesting to see if I return to the window boxes in the future. The verdict is still out on that one.

How gorgeous is this mum??? I love the rich color and size. Because of their short season, I rarely buy them, but I could not resist this one!!!! The ribbon in the picture below is Hobby Lobby.

How cute are these pillows? I bought all three at Walmart and they were only about $6 each.

I will remove the cat and jack-o-lantern one after Halloween, and keep the plaid ones out through Thanksgiving.

The Fern along with the Creeping Jenny looks tired from the long hot summer, but I'm not ready to give up on them just yet. They are too green and I'm not a fan of pulling plants before their time, so I just added a few faux pumpkins and a concrete angel until time to totally rework the urns for Christmas.

As always, thank you for stopping by. I hope you found something inspiring in this post

and I hope you visit again soon.
