Furniture Makeover | Small Side Table

So I'm a little embarrassed that I haven't written a post since May 31st. It was not my intention (it never is) to go so long without sharing, but it's been a crazy summer with one very big high and one devastating low. I will share more about those events in the future, but what I will say is that God is good and he delivered something wonderful right after something terrible. Regardless, I'm happy to be back sharing as it always motivates me to be creative and productive.

I found this cute little side table at Habitat for Humanity a couple of weeks ago.

The top had some rough patches, so I gave it a good sanding with my orbital sander and then thoroughly cleaned the whole piece with some warm soapy water.

Because it was a nice day outside, I sprayed a coat of the Rustoleum flat white paint as a primer.

While my "in progress" pictures did not turn out, I applied 2 coats of Cathedral Taupe to the outside of the table, and a coat of Farrow and Ball Oval Room Blue to the inside.

And would you believe before I could get any good staged pictures, my husband had loaded up the table and delivered it to my antique booth. Clearly our household is still out of sync!!

As I do with all painted furniture, I applied a coat of Minwax Polycrylic Protective Finish, which can be purchased at Walmart, Lowes, or Home Depot.

As always, thank you for stopping by and I hope you will check in again soon!

Fondly,

Julie
